YUMA – Arizona Western College Lady Matadors Softball sophomore Jessie Garcia was honored at the NJCAA DI Softball Player of the Week for the week of March 24-30 after going 10-for-11 from the plate with 16 runs batted in.
Garcia went 10-for-11 in four games, hitting a home run in each of the four games while smacking two grand slams. Garcia drove in 16 runs and scored nine runs in the four wins.
