PHOENIX — One person is dead after three people were shot Monday afternoon near 45th Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix, the city’s police department said.
Officers responded to the scene around 2:15 p.m. where three victims all with at least one gunshot wound were located and two of them were transported to area hospitals. One victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The events leading up to the shooting and the identities of the victims have not been released.
The area will be closed while police investigate.

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
