STORMTRACKER 4 – Clouds increase throughout the day but temperatures will manage to warm up nicely with highs in the 70s and low 80s. Expect sunshine tomorrow with highs back in the 70s and 80s but the wind will start to pick up as our next weather maker approaches the Southwest!
Our next StormTracker 4 Alert Day will be Easter Sunday as a system impacts all of Southeastern Arizona! We’re tracking gusty wind, widespread rain, isolated storms, mountain snow, AND colder temperatures.
Expect a breeze on Friday but the wind picks up even more on Saturday with sustained wind between 25 and 35 mph and gusts up to 45 mph! Blowing dust and minor wind damage will be possible so secure loose objects!
We’ll stay dry on Saturday but showers begin to develop Sunday morning with widespread coverage expected late in the morning and through the afternoon. Isolated storms will be possible so listen out for thunder! Showers could stick around through Monday, which would warrant another Alert Day, but we’ll make that call by Friday afternoon!
Storm totals will range between 0.20″ to 1.0″ in the valleys with 4″ to 12″ of snow above 7,000′! Temperatures drop into the 60s Sunday with highs in the 50s by Monday and that means overnight lows by Tuesday morning could drop down to freezing east of Tucson.
Stay tuned for updates!
- Today: Warm and mostly cloudy. High: 80°
- Tonight: Clouds decrease. Low: 51°
- Tomorrow: Warm with sunshine. High: 82°
