STORMTRACKER 4 – The wind will begin to pick up this afternoon as our next weather maker approaches with gusts between 15 and 25 mph. Otherwise, temperatures will warm into the mid 80s with tons of sunshine!

The wind picks up even more tomorrow as a system and its associated cold front inches closer. Gusts between 40 and 50 mph will be possible, which is why a Wind Advisory is in effect for most of SE AZ from 8 AM to 9 PM tomorrow. There is also a High Wind Warning for the mountains where gusts could hit 65 mph. The biggest impacts will be patchy blowing dust and wind damage so secure loose objects by Friday morning! Our next possible StormTracker 4 Alert Day will be tomorrow because of the wind so stay tuned.

This system will also bring a chance for showers mainly from Tucson to the north and northeast Friday night into early Saturday. Totals are looking light at this time with only trace amounts to 0.10″ in the valleys and up to 1″ of snow in the mountains.

After the front rolls through, temperatures plummet and lows on Saturday morning will drop into the 30s and low 40s. Highs will only manage to warm into the 50s and low 60s during the afternoon. By Sunday morning, areas east of Tucson will wake up to near or below freezing temperatures so protect the 4 P’s (People, Pets, Plants & Pipes)!

We’ll warm into the low 70s Sunday and Monday afternoon but another system is set to impact us by Monday bringing windy conditions and cooler temperatures. Thankfully, we’re tracking just a few high clouds on Monday, which is the day of the solar eclipse! Stay tuned for details!

  • Today: Warmer and breezy. High: 85°
  • Tonight: Clear and mild. Low: 50°
  • Tomorrow: Very windy and cooling down. High: 73°
