STORMTRACKER 4 ALERT – It will be a beautiful day with highs back in the 70s and low 80s with tons of sunshine. It will be breezy at times this afternoon with gusts between 15 and 30 mph.
Our next StormTracker 4 Alert Days will be Saturday, Sunday, and Monday as a system impacts all of Southeastern Arizona! We’re tracking damaging wind gusts, widespread rain, isolated storms, mountain snow, AND colder temperatures.
We’ll stay dry on Saturday but it will be VERY windy. A Wind Advisory will go into effect tomorrow for all of Southeastern Arizona from 12 PM to 10 PM with sustained wind between 20 and 35 mph and gusts up to 50 mph! Blowing dust, power outages, and wind damage will be possible so secure loose objects!
Showers begin to develop Sunday morning with widespread coverage expected late in the morning and through the afternoon. Isolated storms will be possible as well so listen out for thunder! Showers stick around through Monday, which will impact commute times so plan on giving yourself extra time. Storm totals will range between 0.25″ to 1.0″ in the valleys with 6″ to 12″ of snow above 7,000′!
Temperatures drop into the 50s and 60s on Sunday with highs mainly in the 50s by Monday! That means overnight lows by Tuesday morning could drop down to near or below freezing east of Tucson. Stay tuned for more details!
