STORMTRACKER 4 ALERT DAY – Today is a StormTracker 4 Alert Day with on and off showers and some thunderstorms on tap! Commute times will be impacted both this morning and later this afternoon so plan on extra time!

The system that brought gusty wind Saturday and showers on Easter Sunday is still pushing through the state. Isolated storms will be possible today and the biggest impacts will be heavy rain, gusty wind and small hail. Showers linger through tonight before most of us dry out tomorrow. We could still pick up an additional 0.10 to 0.50″ of rain and another 3″ to 7″ of snow above 7,000′. The Winter Storm Warning continues for elevations above 7,000′ until 9 PM tonight.

Temperatures will only warm into the 50s today with overnight lows in the 30s and 40s. By Wednesday morning, some spots east of Tucson could wake up to freezing temperatures. We’ll warm up Thursday with highs in the 80s but another system will impact Southeastern Arizona by the end of the work week. This system will bring gusty wind on Friday and colder temperatures this upcoming weekend. Some showers are possible as well so stay tuned!

  • Today: On and off showers, some thunder (90%) High: 56°
  • Tonight: Showers decrease (50% –> 20%) Low: 42°
  • Tomorrow: Sunny and cool. High: 66°
