Today will be WINDY! Rain, snow and colder temperatures are on the way. Expect a windy and rainy Easter!



STORMTRACKER 4 ALERT DAY — Happy Easter Sunday! Plan for a wet and windy day. If you have an Easter Egg hunt planned, you may want to move it indoors. 

A WIND ADVISORY is in effect across Southern Arizona until 8 p.m. tonight.  This includes Cochise, Graham, and Greenlee counties, and N/NE parts of Santa Cruz and Pima Counties. Winds of 25 to 35 mph are expected with gusts reaching 40 to 50 mph. Blowing dust and reduced visibility is possible when driving. Tie up and secure any loose outdoor items. 

A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect across Southern Arizona at the higher elevations 7000 ft and higher until 9 p.m. Monday. This includes the Catalinas, Rincon Mountains, White Mountains, Mount Lemmon and Summerhaven. 8″ to 15″ of snow is expected, and even up to 18″ 8000 ft and higher. Wind gust speeds up to 50 mph possible. Travel can be hard. blowing snow can lead to reduced visibility when driving, and gusts can blow over trees.

For rain in the valleys, the latest models are giving us rain totals between 0.66″ and 1.25″ between today to early Tuesday.

There is a chance of thunderstorms today. If thunderstorms do develop, they will stay north and East of Tucson.

If we do see any severe weather, it will most likely be damaging winds, possible hail, and occasional downpours ponding roads.

This weather will wrap up by Wednesday. Temperatures will bump back up to the mid 70s/lower 80s Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will drop and winds will pick up again Friday and Saturday.
