STORMTRACKER 4 ALERT DAY — Today is a Stormtracker 4 Alert Day. 

Today will be colder and windy with chances of showers, mountain snow and even some isolated thunderstorms. 

The colder temperatures and rain chances will continue into Tuesday. 

Through Monday, average valley rain amounts are showing 0.10″ to 0.60″. Rainfall totals are showing between .25 of an inch to .75 of an inch in Tucson.

The best chances for rain after this early morning will be Sunday night and again on Tuesday. Ponding, flooding and low visibility are all possible, so be careful when driving.

As of this morning a Wind Advisory is in effect for all of Graham, Greenlee and Cochise Counties, as well as eastern parts of Pima County and northeast parts of Santa Cruz County. Gusts around 45 mph are possible. Tie down and secure any loose outdoor items.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for those higher elevations 7,000 ft and higher. 6-12″ of snow and wind gusts as high as 60 mph is possible.

Highs continue to drop 15-20 degrees colder than average through Tuesday. This system will dissipate late Tuesday and we will see warming temperatures through the second half of next week.

Our next weather models are showing that another storm system may arrive at the end of this week or into early next week after the mid-week warm-up
