STORMTRACKER 4 ALERT DAY — You may want to reconsider any outdoor plans for Easter Sunday and host the hunt indoors as rain, strong winds, and snow will hit the area.

A WIND ADVISORY has been issued for Southeast Arizona, which includes Cochise, Graham, and Greenlee counties until 8 p.m. Sunday. Winds of 25 to 35 mph are expected with gusts reaching 40 to 50 mph. We urge you to secure any loose outdoor items and be cautious while driving due to blowing dust impacting visibility.

The latest models are giving us rain totals between 0.66″ and 1.25″ between Sunday and early Tuesday.

If thunderstorms develop, they will stay north and East of Tucson. If we do see any severe weather, it will most likely be damaging winds, possible hail, and occasional downpours ponding roads.

For the mountains, a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued until 9 p.m. Monday.

Snow will only fall near the mountain tops. A few flakes will drop to 6000′ but accumulation remains near the peaks with 6″ to 12″ expected.

  • Tonight: Partly cloudy, breezy. Low: 53°
  • Sunday: Showers, breezy. High: 58°
  • Sunday night: Showers, breezy. Low: 45°
