Valley Metro Gears Up for Valley Bike Month

This April, Valley Metro is inviting every community across the Valley to participate in Valley Bike Month and discover the many benefits of cycling.

By choosing to ride a bike instead of driving, you can improve your health, help the environment, save money and even win prizes. Last year, participants logged more than 28,000 miles during Valley Bike Month, preventing more than 11 tons of CO2 emissions and saving more than $18,000 dollars.

Take advantage of the spring weather by participating in the many Bike Month events happening across the Valley. From family-friendly rides to art tours, there’s something for cyclists of all ages and skills levels.

You can even challenge yourself to bike to work and connect with fellow riders by finding a bike buddy. Throughout the month of April, riders can track their trips on ShareTheRide.com for a chance to win exciting prizes including a grand prize of a Lectric e-bike or a one-night stay with $100 resort credit courtesy of the Pointe Hilton Resort at the Peak. Competitive cyclists can also participate in bike month challenges to earn badges and bragging rights.
