Greenwood Brewing, the vanguard of the craft beer renaissance, led by the indomitable Megan Greenwood, sets ablaze Women’s History Month with an electrifying lineup of firsts.

Megan, a titan in an industry still dominated by men, has defied the odds, launching her empire amid the tumult of a pandemic. From humble beginnings of brewing in her kitchen to gracing over 200 locales across the Valley, Megan embodies the essence of resilience and innovation that defines Greenwood Brewing.

“In a world where women’s achievements are too often overshadowed, designating an entire month to celebrate our contributions is not just a gesture; it’s a statement,” says Megan Greenwood, founder of Greenwood Brewing.

Earlier this month, Greenwood launched their first-ever Seltzer, Cactus Bloom, a Prickly Pear Seltzer boasting a robust 6.3% ABV. The Seltzer emerges as a beacon of refreshment, an oasis in the desert of conformity, offering a tantalizing departure from the norm. But that’s merely the beginning of Greenwood’s odyssey.

On International Women’s Day, Greenwood hosted an Inaugural Community Brew Day, a hands-on masterclass where participants experienced firsthand the alchemy behind the Women’s Brew – a cold IPA, which is an India Pale Ale brewed with the process of a lager. It’s a crisp and refreshing IPA that is brewed using ale ingredients for the beginning of the brew and finishing with lager ingredients and processes.

The beer is using a blend of hops from the Pink Boots’ Society’s Women’s Collaboration Hop Blend that is created proprietary by Yakima Chief based in the Northwestern U.S. Pink Boots society helps develop women in beer by providing beer education and scholarships in order to recruit more women into craft beer careers.

The Women’s Brew launches during the Women In Beverage Panel at Greenwood Brewing on March 29 for trailblazing women to share their triumphs, trials and insights in an industry too often dominated by male voices. And as the panel unfolds, the veil will be lifted, revealing the culmination of community collaboration – the Women’s Brew.
