BLM announces five-year withdrawal adjacent to the Yuma Proving Ground

BLM announces the publication of a Public Land Order withdrawing 21,782.981 acres of public lands adjacent to the Yuma Proving Ground, subject to valid existing rights. This five-year withdrawal maintains the environmental baseline of these lands, known as the Highway 95 Addition, so that the BLM and the U.S. Army may conduct a land management evaluation on the lands. This evaluation will inform future Congressional consideration of the Army’s withdrawal application for these public lands located in La Paz and Yuma Counties, AZ.
