STORMTRACKER 4 ALERT — Warm weather is expected through the start of the weekend until we get to Sunday. Strong wind gusts, pockets of heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms are all possible starting then through Monday.
Afternoon high temperatures will be back in the 80’s for a few days, but we will also see slowly increasing cloud cover.
These clouds will eventually turn to rain sometime Easter Sunday morning. As of now, it is most likely to begin around 11 a.m. but that timing will likely change.
Our first impact could come as early as Saturday afternoon with strong wind gusts over 30 mph. These strong winds will persist overnight into Sunday and could increase during that time.
This system could be a big rain maker for our area and it will be important to monitor leading up to the holiday weekend.
The latest models are giving us rain totals between 0.1″ and 0.5″ of rain for just Sunday. More is expected to move in Monday as well.
If thunderstorms develop they will stay north of Tucson.
This system will slowly drop our temperatures during that time before we warm up again in the middle of next week.
- Tonight: Partly cloudy, cool. Low: 45°
- Tomorrow: Clouds building, warm. High: 81°
- Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy and cool. Low: 51°
