Singer/songwriter/worship leader @Josh Baldwin proclaims that we are “Made For More” on his brand new anthem, which features background vocals courtesy of @Jenn Johnson. The building, mid-tempo chorus is instantly memorable as Baldwin contends that God didn’t just save us so we could go to heaven one day. Salvation, he asserts, is only the beginning; we were made for so much more.

Baldwin’s latest track echoes the words of Jesus found in John 10:9-10: “Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

Highlighting the abundant life here on Earth that Christ offers and desires for us to step into, “Made For More” serves as the title-cut of the “Evidence” singer’s upcoming live album, arriving Mar. 1, 2024. The heart behind his new single is inextricably linked with the heart behind the complete LP, which the North Carolina native recorded in his new hometown of Nashville, Tenn., at his home church alongside an intimate group of friends and family.

“Over the past year, and even more recently, I’ve been writing a lot of new songs. As we all do, my family and I have experienced peaks and valleys, and we’ve watched the Lord be faithful time and time again. I knew in 2024 I wanted to release new music, so I started gathering those songs I’d written and unknowingly saw a common theme throughout them: the faithfulness of God and His desire of more for us,” Baldwin shares of the impending release. “It shouldn’t surprise me, because I was writing out of the season I was in. In the valleys, He was my help, my Prince of Peace, my Savior and Friend. In the highest moments, I was reminded how we are created in the image of God, and we were made for so much more than we imagine for ourselves. He really shows up for us in every season, because He’s a faithful Father. I’m excited to share with you the songs that have been my rock over the past year and pray you find the same rest and hope in them as I have.”
