Possible tornado in Star Valley under investigation

​The National Weather Service is sending a survey team to the area to confirm if the storm was a tornado.

STAR VALLEY, Ariz. — Property damage has been reported in Star Valley, northeast of Payson, following a possible tornado on Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service is sending a survey team to the area to confirm if the storm was a tornado.

Several viewers have contacted 12News about damage to structures in the area following the weather event. 

Star Valley Councilman Matt Highstreet tells 12News that he spoke to emergency service in the area and no injuries from the weather event have been reported, just property damage. Photos from the area show several roofs ripped off homes and multiple trees down.
