The town of Carefree honored all of those who served at its annual Veterans Day celebration on Nov. 11 at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion.
The presentation and musical tribute featured keynote speaker U.S. Army Sgt. Mack Johnson, music by the Main Event Band and the Carolyn Eynon Singers. There was also a veteran exhibit created by the Veterans Heritage Project Cactus Shadows High School students.
Before or after the event, community members were even able to pay their respects to veterans who served by visiting the Carefree Desert Gardens’ veterans memorial.
