The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Pima County that expires at 8 p.m. Thursday.
A severe thunderstorm was located near Arizona City.
A blowing dust advisory was issued through 8 p.m. Thursday. The weather service said Thursday’s strong thunderstorms in Pima County would be capable of producing areas of dense blowing dust, reducing visibility between one-quarter mile and 1 mile.
Affected areas included western Pima County, the Tohono O’odham Nation, the Tucson area and south-central Pinal County.
The weather service also issued a flash flood watch through Friday evening for areas in southeastern Arizona, including the Baboquivari Mountains, including Kitt Peak; Catalina and Rincon mountains, including Mount Lemmon, Summerhaven; south-central Pinal County; southeastern Pinal County; and the Tohono O`odham Nation.
