Lewis prison correctional officer speaks out about working conditions
A Lewis prison correctional officer talks about concerns he and other officers have regarding staffing shortages at the Buckeye prison.

Multiple people incarcerated at the Lewis prison in Buckeye were sent off-site to be medically evaluated following an “altercation” on a recreational yard.
An Arizona Department of Corrections spokesperson said no correctional staff were injured during the incident and that the prison was secure.
The spokesperson didn’t say what led up to the incident, the number of people involved or the nature of their injuries.
