David Russell Holmberg Sr. passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023, at 4:13 a.m. in Chino Valley, Arizona, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services were held July 26 at the Mission Santa Maria Catholic Church in Dewey. Following, the Arizona Patriot Guard provided an escort to where David was laid to rest, at the VA cemetery in Camp Navajo, Arizona.
David was born on Oct. 28, 1947, in Ridgefield, Washington, to Roy and Margaret Holmberg. His dad (Dedad) was a logger and mother (Nana) later a nurse after raising their three kids: Gary, Judy and David.
